“Hello sir. Welcome to Brit-Rock Café – may I take your order?”

“What’s today’s special?”

“The Epitones’ demo, sir.”

“What’s that like?”

“It’s a base of jaunty Mersey-beat rock n roll, topped with heavy bass-lines and some funky guitaring, seasoned with influences from The Beatles, Cream and hints of The Clash, and served in three slices.”

“Hmmm, that sounds alright. What’s the difference between the three slices?”

“Difference, sir? Oh no, there’s no difference; they all taste the same, really. Let me put it this way, sir; if someone served it to me, I wouldn’t say no, but I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to order one.”
