The Subways - No Goodbyes

The Subways – No Goodbyes

Chris George

The Subways’ rise to success this year has been astronomical, but then why the hell not? They’re young, energetic, and attractive with an irresistibly raw passion – they fit perfectly into the current UK indie rock n roll scene.

But you wouldn’t know it by hearing their new single No Goodbyes. It’s sappy, jaunty semi-acoustic guitars, that’s desperately dull, especially considering what they’re actually capable of.

It fits better into the UK indie scene of the early ‘90s, when “indie” was a euphemism for “boring”. Then again, there’s a time and a place for that. But it’s the early ‘90s.
